FEED YOUR BIG IDEA.

Founder's Fridge is a podcast that explores the eating habits of startup founders. We talk about favorite snacks, daily food routines, and what they eat during long work nights. Each episode explores how founders eat, work, and live.

Food is where the real stories of entrepreneurship surface: the coffee that starts an investor meeting, the celebratory dinner when a deal closes, the pint of ice cream after a pitch falls flat, and the family meals that carve out stability in the middle of chaos.

In each episode, founders open up about what they eat while they are building their companies. They share the rituals and recipes that shaped them growing up, the snacks and meals that carry them through long nights, and the comforts they reach for when things are not going as planned. From late-night takeout to holiday traditions, food becomes a window into the grit, creativity, and resilience it takes to start something new.

Meet your host, Heidi Knoblauch.

Heidi Knoblauch is sitting in a podcast studio with a laptop in front of her. She has a Founder's Fridge sign behind her. There is a camera pointing at her and she is getting ready to film an episode.

Hi, I’m your host, Heidi Knoblauch! I am an entrepreneur, investor, and educator, and I currently teach entrepreneurship as a Professor of Practice at the University at Albany, where I get to mentor students and faculty who are launching companies. I also lead the Venture Readiness Program, a national effort that helps prepare founders with the skills, networks, and strategies to grow, while giving investors a platform to connect with them.

Before this, I founded both a restaurant and a software company, so I know firsthand what it feels like to build something from scratch. Along the way, I have helped design programs for accelerators, incubators, and high-growth companies.

Founder’s Fridge is my way of exploring the human side of entrepreneurship. On each episode we talk with founders not just about their companies, but about what they eat while they are building them. I split my time between Upstate New York and Philadelphia, and I am excited to open the fridge!
